Press Release - Arbo Façade Systems

Adshead Ratcliffe, manufacturer of the globally recognised premium Arbo brand of sealants, is pleased to announce a new division – Arbo Façade Systems (AFS).

Curtain walling, rainscreen and window manufacturers’ designers and installers are increasingly demanding first class technical advice and delivery reliability.

Arbo Façade Solutions aims to serve this fast growing market sector by delivering a premium product backed by unrivalled Technical Support to solve designers’ requirements.

Drawing on a wealth of experience within their existing staff Arbo FS will partner window system companies’ fabricators and installers in supplying the AFS portfolio of products: Arbo EPDM system; one and two part structural silicone sealants; and a range of sealants, adhesives, security tapes, expanding products and adhesive membranes.

Sales of existing Arbo Façade products have substantially increased since the introduction of Document L.  More stringent requirements for interface design will be introduced in the future.  To assist with the correct specification and application of Document L requirements Arbo Façade Systems has introduced an RIBA approved CPD seminar on the Arbo EPDM System.

NEW 682 GIVES FASTER INSTALLATION FOR GLASS BALUSTRADES...
...THAT'S ON THE LEVEL!

Those clever people in our R&D have developed a new product, Arbokol 682 Pouring Grade. When contractors are faced with sizable contracts of glass balustrades, they can now use 682PG to wedge the glass in position. Alignment is so important to the critical architectural eye.

Mixing the two components together takes only a short time compared to the gunning formula. Pour the contents into the void keeping a wary eye on the levels as the liquid rises at both sides of the glass simultaneously.
The saving on labour time is obvious, eliminating time consuming gunning and the glass is fully encapsulated in the compound. Two words of warning do NOT use pouring grade on slopes or staircases and make sure there are no holes in the design where the sealant can escape.

Arbokol 682 gunning grade is still available and is the industry standard for balustrades.
Both products are epoxy polysulphides and comply with BS 6180:1999 installations of glass balustrades. There could be other uses for this product where a hard fast cure is required, so please discuss your ideas with our technical department or Steve Brown, Technical Director on: 01773 596314.

ARBOKOL 1025 is now available in two grades

Arbokol 1025 secure is a two part Epoxy Sealant suitable for sealing in secure environments such as prison cells and has been tested by the home office as a vandal resistant non-pick sealant.
Available in colours Grey & Off White.

Arbokol 1025 SP is a two part Epoxy Sealant suitable for use in swimming pools, compression joints and shower rooms. Also available in colours Grey & Off White.
