Intumescent Tape
Arboseal Intumescent Tape is a flat section, preformed Intumescent strip based upon synthetic rubbers and carefully chosen fire resistant materials. It deforms under moderate pressure and has appreciable surface tack and recovery.
When subject to flame, Arboseal Intumescent Tape will intumesce (expand and char) blocking the passage of fire and smoke.
Applications of ARBO Intumescent Tape
HVAC Systems
Arboseal Intumescent Tape is widely used in HVAC ducting systems to provide fire-rated sealing between metal duct joints. Its flexibility and ease of application make it ideal for maintaining airtight, fire-resistant seals in ventilation systems and fire compartment barriers.
Glazing and Fire Doors
This intumescent tape is also suitable for use in glazing internal and external FD30 timber fire doors and screens. It helps preserve the fire integrity of doorsets by expanding rapidly when exposed to heat, sealing gaps to prevent fire and smoke ingress.
Expansion and Control Joints
In addition to HVAC and door applications, ARBO intumescent tapes are used alongside other ARBO sealants such as Arbosil 1071 and ARBO XL1075 for expansion joints that require both acoustic and fire resistance.
