Breather Membranes
Breather membranes are designed as a secondary layer of protection to a light steel frame structure providing a W1 rated watertight layer whilst being fully moisture vapour permeable, yet also airtight.
Contractors place breather membranes on the outside of a building's structure to protect it behind the external cladding or outer facade finish. This compliments the vapour control layer or vcl / avcl ensuring a healthy building make up.
