Construction and Structural Sealing
Use ARBO 2650 with Arbosil and Arbomeric sealants for priming masonry, concrete, and block work joints.

Heavy-Duty Industrial Sealing
ARBOKOL AG2 Porous Primer is highly recommended for industrial applications where long-lasting durability is required, such as in roadways, pavements, and runway aprons.

Asphalt and Bituminous Surfaces
The 925 Primer is particularly suited for bituminous surfaces, providing a strong bond and reliable performance in outdoor settings.

Why Choose ARBO Primers?

ARBO Primers are essential for ensuring optimal performance and durability of sealant applications. Their ease of use, excellent adhesion properties, and versatility across substrates make them an ideal choice for construction professionals looking for reliable, long-lasting results. Learn about even more benefits below.

Superior Adhesion
The 925 and 2650 Primer, are formulated to significantly improve adhesion of ARBO sealants to substrates like concrete, brickwork, and asphalt. The AG2 Porous Primer is tailored for use with polysulphide sealants on porous surfaces, ensuring robust bonding, particularly in heavy-duty applications.

Wide Application Temperature Range
Most ARBO primers can be applied at temperatures from +5°C to +30°C, making them suitable for varying site conditions.

Quick Drying and Easy Application
They are air-drying and typically require only a single coat, which dries within 1 to 8 hours depending on conditions. This allows for efficient priming, minimising waiting times before sealant application.

They are best applied with a clean, dry brush, and we recommend consulting technical services for optimal results on unique substrates.

Versatility Across Substrates
They’re compatible with a variety of surfaces. For example, the 2650 Primer works well on concrete, brickwork, and other masonry, while the 925 Primer is ideal for asphalt and bituminous surfaces.

For more specific applications, like sealing concrete roadways or water-retaining structures, AG2 Porous Primer offers exceptional performance with polysulphide sealants, enhancing durability even in challenging environments.

Durable Bond for Demanding Applications
When used with sealants such as Arbokol AG2, they provide a durable, long-lasting bond suitable for high-traffic areas, structural joints, and applications in varying weather conditions.

ARBO primers also comply with British Standards for sealing joints, ensuring quality and consistency across applications.

Chemical Resistance
ARBO primers enhance the sealants' resistance to common chemicals, including dilute acids and alkalis. They help maintain the integrity of the sealant bond, particularly in industrial environments where exposure to chemicals is likely.

Health & Safety

All ARBO primers should be used in well-ventilated areas. ARBO provides comprehensive safety data sheets for each primer, and tools should be cleaned immediately after use to prevent contamination
