ARBO^® Innovates With New ARBOShield Pro Fire-resistant Façade System

ARBO®, a Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) company best known for its leading range of sealants and adhesives, has launched the ARBOShield Pro Fire-Resistant Façade System. A step change in performance for the facades and glazing market, ARBOShield Pro includes a self-adhesive, Class A fire rated and W1 waterproofing perimeter seal, which takes performance and ease of installation to a whole new level.

The ARBOShield Pro launch follows an intensive development process to create a complete solution for facades and apertures that answers specifiers’ requirements for the highest, verifiable fire safety to BS EN 13501-1, along with improved performance and consistency, and time and cost savings thanks to faster and easier installation.

Leading the new ARBOShield Pro range’s innovative new approach to non-combustible, high-performance facades is the ARBOShield Pro External Perimeter Class A Membrane (EPAM), the only class A self-adhesive product available for the UK construction market. This innovative new solution combines an industry-leading self-adhesive with a complete Class A2-s1,d0 rated non-combustible and W1-rated (waterproofing and airtightness) window and façade seal in a single product. ARBOShield Pro EPAM is an industry first that will enable simpler and more consistent sealing of critical junctions, for a more robust and safer building envelope.

ARBOShield Pro EPAM is a 2^nd generation formula, augmenting water repellent properties and providing the all-important Class A fire rating. It avoids the mess, waste, and labour-intensive installation times associated with traditional façade sealing methods, providing a solution that delivers on safety, performance, and sustainability.

Alongside ARBOShield Pro EPAM, the ARBOShield Pro range includes a Class A W1 Breather Membrane, a Class A Air & Vapour Control Layer, Class A High-Tack Sealing Tape and a Class B W1 Breather Membrane. The range is complemented by the ARBOShield Pro GT Fire Retardant Rolled Sealant, ARBO Intumescent and Fire-Resistant Mastics, Sealants and Foams, and ARBOSeal Pro Sealing Tapes.

Ideal for both new build and refurbishment projects, the ARBOShield Pro fire-resistant façade system is suitable for commercial, industrial, residential, and retail buildings, and compatible for curtain walling and ventilated rainscreen facades. The range is also an excellent choice for modular and off-site construction projects, supporting the consistency, working environment and quality assurance processes of factory-built construction modules. It can be used on the interior and exterior faces of external walls and apertures, providing exceptional levels of weatherproofing and fire resistance.
