Main Applications of ARBO® SAS
For bonding ARBO EPDM and other membranes including Butyl sheeting to aluminium (both Polyester Powder Coated and other finishes) and PVCu for both factory and site applications. Recommended for factory applications with the use of terminator strips but can also be used for site work. For porous substrates ARBO AFS Primer is recommended.
ARBO Technical Services can advise if adhesion tests are required to new, untested substrates.

Application Instructions
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all contamination. The surfaces should be degreased using the appropriate ARBO Cleaner. If the EPDM is left out on site, we recommend the use of ARBO Cleaner 16 before bonding. Primers may be required on some porous substrates.
It is recommended that ARBO Technical Services should be consulted to advise on the choice of primer for specific applications.
APPLICATION
ARBO SAS is supplied in a 600ml foil pack and can be applied using an ARBO Foil Pack Gun. Apply in 8mm beads approximately 25mm apart to one substrate only. Press membrane onto the SAS by suitable application tool (roller, tooling stick or another appropriate implement).
NB: Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C in damp or icy conditions.
