APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Joint Preparation
The joint surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all contamination. The surfaces should be degreased using the appropriate ARBO® Cleaner. ARBO AG2 Porous Primer is recommended on concrete. It is recommended that ARBO Technical Services be consulted regarding the use of primer for specific purposes.
Joint Backing
Where applicable, use appropriately sized cross-linked, closed cell Polyethylene foam.
Application
All joint preparation, priming, and sealant application should be carried out in accordance with BS 8000-16: 1997 + A1: 2010 the British Standard for the sealing of joints in buildings using sealants. Arbothane 1245 is supplied in 600ml foil packs and can be applied with an ARBO Foil Pack gun.
One-part Polyurethane Sealant which cures on exposure to moisture vapour to form a tough but flexible rubber.
Good adhesion to concrete and other common construction substrates.
